WARNING: Those who get queasy at the sight of high calorie food, STOP HERE!
I have written about many of the places we planned to cover during the Chandni Chowk Veggie walk in my previous post, so here I will let the photographs narrate our experience. All the places we covered during the walk and some more recommended places are marked on Google Map at the end of the post. Photos are courtesy Anand Sampath. Thanks to Pamela (of Eat and Dust fame) for recommending the Curuwala Halwa, and Nidhi Goel for finding the place for us. (Anup Menon’s photos of the walk)

Early birds or rather the punctual birds..next time discounts for those on time?

The Starting Team

Enjoying Dahi Bhalles at Natraj Cafe

Favvarewala Jalebas...he seems to have pleased more people than Delhi Times jalebi contest judges!

Rajesh goes solo with Kanwarji's Kachoris

Included on popular demand...parathewali gali...khoa paratha was a hit!

A group of 30 moving together doesn't help the congestion on Chandni Chowk

Special arrangements were made at kake di Hatti to accomodate our group

Shri Nivas and Sons Masalas - one of the hidden (for outsiders) gems of the areas
It is impossible to cover all the places of area in one walk – we skipped Shiv Mishthan Bhandar, evening wasnt a time for meals at Adarsh or Brijwasi, or even some quick shopping at Shri Niwas & Sons spice shop (which I had included in the itinerary, but we just couldnt find time in the end). This map should help in planning the next visit:

The my-belly-is happy-smiles say it all! I can see you all had a wonderful evening:)
Well done Sid – an epic walk ! Amazingly I woke up ravenous this morning!
Monkness, we really enjoyed it but sad news, based on how hot it was last evening, is that we will have to sign off for summer and wait a long few months
Pamela, thanks a lot. I resolved not to touch any of the kheer that I brought home..good news for the guests!
I missed it . Pics & reviews shows that it was more than a scucessful walk . Congrats Sid!!!
Thanks, Anuj. Let us plan something for the summer..
[...] decided on a cholesterol free version of the same. The chef would be well advised to visit the Churuwala Halwa shop off Chandni Chowk for a lesson in what Moong Dal Halwa should be like. If they venture into that [...]
Do you conduct these walks still?
We do but during rainy season it is better avoided
